We are Lunous

A catalyst for organizations and communities working to end homelessness in the Pacific Northwest

Lunous is a nonprofit organization focused on improving how communities understand housing and homelessness. We build shared data infrastructure and analytical tools to make affordable housing supply and demand visible, measurable, and actionable.

We bring together information that already exists, but is often scattered, inconsistent, or hard to interpret, and align it into a clear framework that communities can use to ask better questions and make more informed choices.

Lunous builds shared data infrastructure and insights to help communities understand and address housing and homelessness as connected systems.

  • Instead of prescribing solutions, Lunous provides tools and frameworks that empower communities to make their own informed decisions, fostering autonomy and local action.

  • Lunous collects and synthesizes fragmented data, making it useful and accessible so people can better understand the dynamics of homelessness and drive effective responses.

  • Lunous tailors its data and insights specifically for the needs of nonprofits and policymakers, enabling them to make data-driven decisions that improve housing stability and community well-being.

Our Core Values

Lunous builds shared data infrastructure and insights to help communities understand and address housing and homelessness as connected systems.

Community centered

We start from the belief that people thrive in resilient, connected communities and that real change has to come from those communities themselves, not from outside experts telling them what to do.

Better data for shared decisions

We trust that using the best available, clearly presented data helps communities move beyond polarization toward shared decisions that improve housing stability and community well-being.

Accessible, transparent data

We believe that data should be transparent, understandable, and accessible to everyone, so people with different backgrounds and beliefs can see the same evidence and make sense of it for themselves.
